Die blauen Filterschwämme sind einfach in der Handhabung und lassen sich sehr gut reinigen. Sie sind Bestandteile der "blauen Zone"!

Die "blaue Zone" im BioTec-Filter: Grobe Schmutzpartikel werden in den voluminösen blauen Biokörpern zurückgehalten. Durch die Anreicherung mit Sauerstoff bilden sich in der blauen Zone schnell NSB-Bakterien, die das für Fische im höchsten Grad schädliche Ammoniak in Nitrit umwandeln.
